At the Bundesbahn, they embodied the departure into a modern, "streamlined" era, the "creased" electric locomotives of the 110 series. Their streamlined design suggested modern locomotives in front of modern express trains. From 1963, all 221 E 10.3 express tractors were given the more aerodynamic shape with the characteristic "crease" on the front sides. The steel blue long-distance train paintwork initially gave way to a part of the locomotives after revisions to a repainting in cobalt blue, but this did not diminish their extremely elegant appearance.

Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 110.3 electric locomotive. With "crease" front, continuous fan bands, all-round rain gutter, without front buffer lining and without apron. Axle sequence Bo´Bo´. Coloring in cobalt blue with a V-shaped warning coating on the front. Operating condition around 1979.

Model: The locomotive is an Era IV version with round buffers. The screw switch for selecting catenary operation is located inside the locomotive. The locomotive has larger buffer plates. Both trucks powered. The triple headlights are warm white LEDs and they change over with the direction of travel. The wheel treads are dark nickel-plated.

Length over the buffers 76 mm / 3".

Packed in a special real wood box.
