Manufactured since 1948, the Mercedes-Benz Unimog is undoubtedly one of the automotive icons of the 20th century. The "universal engine machine", abbreviated UNIMOG, has since been produced in a wide variety of versions as a universally applicable workhorse. The Schuco model of the Mercedes-Benz Unimog 401 represents a very early example of the Unimog series and features a multitude of prototypical details.
