Information about the model

While the series designation 33 was initially planned, the G10 was finally designated BR 57.10-35. In total, there were 2,358 machines with this designation. As in Prussian times, the machines were used primarily on routes with weaker superstructures but still heavy freight traffic. These include the Essen, Wuppertal, Breslau, Erfurt, Hanover and Kassel Rbd. The G10 also quickly gained a foothold in the Bavarian directorates, and by 1924 Augsburg, Munich, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Würzburg and Ludwigshafen had a combined total of 156 units.
