In summer 1981 the 65018 was rent for the first time to the "Stoom Stichting Nederland" (SNN) over a period of 10 years. The Locomotive was definitely put in stock of the SNN in 1991. After a general overhaul the Locomotive started its service at the Museumsbahn in 1984. Until 1993 the 65 018 pulled a great number of chartered trains. In September 1993 the Locomotive Rotterdam was stopped because again it needed a general overhaul what was given at the Dampflokwerk Meiningen. Even the boiler was restored for the most part. Even the water and coal boxes were completely replaced. On the 3rd of May 1998 the 65 018 went back to Rotterdam with the "Thüringer Wald Express". Since then it is the only Locomotive of the series 65 which is still in service.
