Fleischmann 707088 - Steam locomotive class Pt 2/3 (Digital)
Steam locomotive type Pt 2/3 of the Royal Bavarian State Railways.
■ Model with a tightly soldered decoder built-in from factory
■ Model in black and green livery with decorative stripes
■ Transition door at the rear of the driver's cab
■ Die-cast metal housing
■ Many free-standing handles and extra applied parts
The type Pt 2/3 was a remarkable appearance among the light tender locomotives for passenger traffic. Its slender boiler, the large distance between the trailing axle and the coupling wheels (4000 mm!) and the relatively large driver's cab are its typical features. An additional door was built into the rear of the locomotive through which the stoker entered the train to take over the conductor's duties.
The Bavarian State Railways put the first locomotives into service in 1909, the last in 1916. All the locomotives (type 1 B h2 with a maximum speed of 65 km/h) were supplied by Krauss in Munich.
