Steam locomotive series 232 TC of the French State Railways.
■ Version with round roof ■ Die-cast metal chassis
The SNCF took over 27 examples of the T 18 class from the Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace-Lorraine, which had been built by the Vulcan works between 1915 and 1918. They were stationed in Strasbourg, Haguenau, Sélestat, Colmar and Mulhouse. Due to their respectable top speed of 100 km/h, the large water reservoir and their much-praised smooth running, they were mainly used in fast suburban traffic. The last 232 TC left the French SNCF's scheduled service in 1966.
