Charlie's Tip: The transition needs to be gradual. Best to use a filer piece to fill in where your incline starts. This effectively will half the angle of the incline start. Start the 9119 track on the level portion of your layout, before the incline starts.

The Locomotive should be on the bottom side of the train (pushing the cars uphill). This gives the best performance results, and also eliminates the issue of not having a cog track at the last inches when you install a bumper.
