LGB 30507 - Compartment Car, 3rd Class

Compartment cars were once very widely used. You could find them on the railroad as well as on streetcar and urban commuter railroads.

This is a prototypically painted and lettered LGB model as a reproduction of a 3rd class car. All of the doors on the model can be opened and give you a view of the detailed features and prototypically colored compartments. As was customary at that time the compartments are not only lettered with the car class, they are also naturally provided with "Raucher" ("Smoker") or "Nichtraucher" ("Non-Smoker") signs.
