The firm A. Heucke Steam Plow Locomotive Builders from Gatersleben in Saxony -Anhalt manufactured its own steam plow locomotives based on steam plows from the firm Fowler in England at the end of the 19th century into the 20th century. Complete steam plow sets were produced consisting of 2 steam locomobiles and a swivel plow with appropriate accessories. Two locomobiles pulled a swivel plow on a long steel cable for steam plowing across the field lying in front of them. Steam plowing on large areas of farmland was a rather special spectacle for that time as well as today.
