Marklin 26355 - Adler Numbered Train Set

Parts of German railroad history with inestimable value were destroyed in the fire at the Nürnberg DB Museum’s display locomotive shed on October 17, 2005. A total of 24 historic locomotives and cars became victims of the flames. Many railroad enthusiasts were shocked by this news. The legendary Adler was also affected by this. The management of the German Railroad, Inc. has decided to rebuild the Adler reproduction within the framework of its apprentice education program with its special workshops. The plans for the destroyed locomotives and the four cars are in the DB Museum’s archives. The rebuilding in the special shops at Meiningen are supposed to be completed by 2010 so that the Adler will be ready to run again at the latest by the 175th anniversary of the first railroad in Germany.

Only 3.333 units will be made. The train includes the locomotive with 4 cars in a high quality wooden case.

A numbered certificate will accompany this exclusive collector’s piece.
