This decoder is for converting Märklin/Trix H0 locomotives with built-in high-efficiency motors or other DC motors.

The märklin LokDecoder3 has a 21-pin interface connector and an accompanying interface connector circuit board for converting analog and digital locomotives. The märklin LokDecoder3 supports the digital formats mfx, MM1, MM2, and DCC.

Charlie's Tip: Open your locomotive, and check the headlights on either end. In older locomotives, you may still see a screw-in light bulb, with the lampholder grounded to the locomotive frame. If you keep the lights as they are, they will work, but flicker. If that is the case, you may want new lampsockets. These sockets will fit into your current screw in fittings.
