Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 38 (former Prussian P 8) passenger locomotive with a tub-style tender.
 

Model: This model has been reworked in many points. The triple headlights are warm white LEDs. The locomotive has finely executed detailing with an imitation of the brakes, rail clearance equipment, enlarged buffer plates, detailed valve gear, and extensive paint scheme. The locomotive has a 5-pole motor. All of the driving axles are powered.
