New in 2025: BR 120 electric locomotive of the Federal Railway in late era condition with round buffers. The PIKO model of the attractive 120 series impresses with the finest paintwork and printing, the exact implementation of the distinctive housing shape, attached handlebars, sharply engraved bogie panels and filigree metal pantographs. The five-pole motor with two flywheels ensures excellent driving characteristics. The LED light changes from white to red using LEDs, depending on the direction of travel. The standard driver's cab lighting and the tail lights, which function depending on the direction of travel, can be digitally switched with a PluX22 decoder. The locomotive has a PIKO sound decoder and a loudspeaker installed ex works. The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centers, a new "fits mfx®" quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx® test and have fully passed it. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the "fits mfx®" quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
