New in 2025: Design variant of the BR 143 of the DR in Era IV in a striking S-Bahn livery. The PIKO model impresses with its successful mold construction without annoying mold parting lines and the harmonious implementation of all relevant details of the original machine. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The driver's cab lighting and the front and tail lights, which function depending on the direction of travel, can be digitally switched with a PluX22 decoder. The model, which has a die-cast zinc frame, has a five-pole motor with precisely balanced flywheels for excellent driving characteristics and two traction tires for high tractive forces, which are arranged diagonally on the inner axles of both bogies. Retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker is prepared on the clearly designed circuit board with PluX22 interface. Attachable brake hose dummies are included with the BR 143 model.
