The model of the legendary electric locomotive BR E16 impresses with its harmonious paint scheme and printing as well as precise housing engravings and an exact detail representation of the distinctive Buchli drives. In addition, the PIKO BR 116 has fine spoke wheel sets which, together with the filigree roof equipment, the pantographs and the extra applied grab irons, contribute to an authentic overall impression of the model. The locomotive has excellent running characteristics and high tractive effort for true-to-the-original train compositions. The model is equipped with a modern Next18 interface and features the usual red/white light change. The PIKO model corresponds exactly to its prototype in shape, color scheme and printing. With the factory-integrated sound decoder, which handles the data formats DCC with RailComPlus®, Motorola®,Selectrix®, and M4, the class 116 electric locomotive has once again achieved an outstanding implementation as a sound locomotive. The powerful speaker is tuned to the class 116 and provides a powerful sound. Many typical locomotive sounds and functions can be called up individually. Sound is also possible in analog operation - only driving noise.
