New for 2025: Steam locomotive T 9.3 in the TKi3 version of the PKP in Era III. In terms of design, the Expert steam locomotive leaves little to be desired and takes into account all structural and optical features of the original machine, such as PKP lamps, enlarged coal box, the true-to-original cable routing on the boiler or fine spoked wheels made of die-cast metal in typical PKP coloring. The factory-integrated PIKO PSD XP sound decoder enables the switching of lighting in the driver's cab and chassis area. In addition, a flickering LED in the area of the firebox, which is also digitally switched, simulates the red glowing coals. All lighting, including the light change that changes in the direction of travel, is designed using modern, maintenance-free LED technology. The numerous vehicle-typical sounds ensure true-to-original model railway operation. The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centers, a new quality mark "fits mfx®" was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the quality mark "fits mfx®", which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
