Piko 51184 - E 44 Electric Locomotive DR III
E-Lok E 44 DR III
Novelty 2024: The success story of the E 44 series began in 1930 with the pre-production locomotive E 44 001 built by Siemens-Schuckertwerke. It was followed by the first series of run-run electric locomotives with single-axle drive in Germany from 1932. The PIKO E 44 is also a success story. The miniatures of the pre- as well as the production locomotives shine with their exact scale implementation. Equally sharp and precise engravings on the housing ensure enormous plastic depth and underline the excellent overall impression. This also continues in the chassis area with numerous specially attached parts on the striking bogies. Identical in model quality, the differences between the model locomotives were nevertheless implemented in the greatest possible detail in the model. Even technically, the model leaves nothing to be desired: The drive is equally proven and robust, a PluX22 interface enables the very easy retrofitting of a digital decoder. In this constellation, for example, it is possible to switch engine room and driver's cab lighting.
