BR 140 Electric Locomotive DB beige/blue IV Sound

New Piko item for 2022: Variant of the class 140 in beige-blue paint scheme of the BR in Era IV. With the class 140 in Era IV, PIKO is once again turning its attention to an absolute classic of the German Federal Railroad. The bread and butter locomotive achieved great popularity due to its high number of units and decades of use.

The PIKO model has numerous extras, including free-standing grab irons, digitally switchable cab lighting, and enclosed brake hoses. The five-pole PIKO motor, which drives all four axles, provides excellent running characteristics with its two large flywheel masses and current collection via eight wheels. To ensure high tractive effort, the compact model has, in addition to the zinc die-cast frame, two traction tires that sit on the inside running axles of both bogies in a diagonal arrangement to each other.

The model features all PIKO standards, including a PluX22 interface, light change white /red and close coupling kinematics.

The sound version of the PIKO BR 140 is factory-equipped with an mfx®-capable PluX22 sound decoder.
