Sound electric locomotive BR 140 Bayernbahn VI AC version, including PIKO sound decoder
New Piko item for 2024: Printed variant of the BR 140 in the version of the BayernBahn in Era VI. The model has built-in, digitally switchable driver's cab lighting as standard. The five-pole motor ensures excellent running characteristics with two large flywheels and power consumption via eight wheels. In order to ensure a high tractive force, the PIKO model has, in addition to the zinc die-cast frame, two traction tires that sit on the internal axles of both bogies in a diagonal arrangement to one another. The model has a PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeakerfrom the factory.
The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital centers, a new quality mark “fits mfx®” was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have ondergone a special mfx® test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
