New Piko item for 2024: Printed variant of the V 60 as BR 345 from RailAdventure in Era VI. The PIKO model of the BR V60 DB shunting locomotive has straight, precisely aligned platforms, a buffer storage for silky-smooth shunting trips without unwanted power interruptions and lighting using LEDs. The cab lighting and the front and tail lights, which function depending on the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally using the factory-integrated PSD XP sound decoder. The heavy model, equipped with a zinc die-cast frame, has a five-pole motor for excellent driving characteristics and high pulling forces.
The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital centers, a new quality mark “fits mfx®” was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have ondergone a special mfx® test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
