Roco 67610 - Brake van “Sputnik”
Brake van "Sputnik" type Db of the Swiss Federal Railways.
■ Model without lighting
The "Sputnik" is one of the smallest, but also the most famous coach of Switzerland. From 1966 to 1969 the main workshop Chur built a total of 120 coaches of this type which also had a lounge and oberservation post for the train crew. Later the coaches were officially designated Db. For more than 25 years, the "Sputnik" caboose was the highlight at the end of every "true" Swiss goods train. The side pulpits of the caboose were crucial on the steep mountain ramps of the Gotthard and Lötschberg, because they provided an optimal view on the goods train running in front so any kind of technical problem easily could be discovered.
