Steam locomotive 50 1751 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.

Drive on two axles of the tender and via a cardan shaft on all five driving axles of the locomotive.

■ 4-dome boiler design without bell
■ With small lamps on the front buffer beam
■ Fine metal wheel sets and drive and coupling rods made of cast metal

Originally, the class 50 locomotives were equipped with a bell. During the implementation of safety compliance measures, the bell was removed. Later, due to boiler replacements and conversions, locomotives with lower numbers were also found to be without bells.
