Schuco 450008100 - MAN Porsche Race Transport 1:18
Type 635 was a permanent feature of the newly developed lightweight series of MAN, introduced from 1960 onwards, which thanks to the engine rating complied at that time with the new registration laws. The 6.6 t cab over engine type was propelled by a new, small capacity, high-speed 135 hp engine. The features of the “Bullnosed COB” as it was popularly known, also included a compressed air hydraulic front brake, an eight-speed synchromesh gearbox, suspended pedals and a hydraulic clutch. With a net weight of 4,250 kg and an additional load capacity of 6,750 kg, the fast truck was predestined for use as a racing car transporter.
For this reason, Porsche had the original vehicle converted into a suitable racing car transporter with a body suitable for the safe transportation of three vehicles. In addition, apart from an additional row of seats in the rear of the cab, the transporter also provided adequate space for tools and spares.
Schuco is issuing 2,000 limited edition miniature models of this legendary MAN “Porsche” racing car transporter in the scale 1:18 in the PRO.R line.
