Designed in its „original form“ in the early 1960s by Ferry Porsche‘s eldest son, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, known as „Buzzi“, the 911 was presented to an enthusiastic public in 1963 as the successor to the legendary Porsche 356.

The 911 was the first production Porsche to be equipped with a completely newly developed, air-cooled 6-cylinder boxer engine. Improved and developed over the years, the high-quality and finely detailed Schuco metal model available at Ajckids on a scale of 1:43 corresponds to a Porsche 911 Targa built in 1971.
