Electric Locomotive EG1 K.Bay.Sts.B Road no. 20202 When the Bayerische Staatsbahn ordered several electric locomotives at the beginning of the 20th century, these included two fouraxle bogie locomotives with single axle drive. This was a completely new direction, which was to have a lasting effect on later locomotive constructions. The small locomotives provided very good service and were based in Freilassing. One important task was pushing carriages on the hilly mountain route to Berchtesgaden.
