Brawa 47719 - Open Freight Car K.W.St.E.
To transport bulky goods which were insensitive to weather conditions, open freight cars with wooden side walls and doors and a wheelbase of 3.72 metres were purchased from 1862 onwards. Thanks to the high side walls, which could not be removed, they were particularly suitable for transporting peat. To secure them at a standstill, a simple parking brake was used which could be operated from a platform.
