Between 1910 and 1916, a total of 512 T 13s were built for the Prussian State Railways by various manufacturers. Due to the numerous losses after World War I, the DRG ordered another 72 locomotives and the Saar Railways 12. The Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace-Lorraine also had 60 T 13s in their fleet. The Grand Ducal Oldenburg State Railways owned ten locomotives of this type. The T 13 was included in the numbering plan by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1925 as series 92.5–10 with the operating numbers 92 501–913 and 92 1001–1072.
