Beilhack snow blower of the Swiss Federal Railways.
■ Digital functional model! ■ Self-propelled model ■ Large bucket wheels fully functional ■ Structure can be rotated by 180° ■ Elaborately designed model with numerous digitally switchable functions
The retirement of the rotary steam snow blower used on the Gotthard and the need to expand the snow blower fleet and have a reserve led to the purchase of two self-propelled diesel snow blowers from the company Beilhack, Rosenheim (D) in 1980. This design, which had already been delivered to Norway and Austria, has also proven itself on the Gotthard, with the two blowers being or having been stationed in Göschenen and Erstfeld. A special feature of this design is that the entire vehicle bridge can be rotated by 180°, allowing the blower to change its working direction.
Note: The model can only be used to a limited extent in analogue mode, which is why we recommend digital mode. In analogue mode, the snow blower starts moving, the headlights and driving sounds are activated, and the bucket wheels also rotate.
