Marklin 46409 - Type Ks 446 Stake Car

Model: This is a version without a brakeman’s platform and with short end stakes. The car has separately applied brake rigging, control elements for brakes, and rotating stakes. The load surface has the look of wooden planks. There are receptacles at the ends of the car for inserting the stakes included with the car. The buffer height conforms to NEM specifications. The car has rectangular buffer plates. A load frame for the trucks is included. Length over the buffers 15.8 cm / 6-1/4". DC wheel set E700580.
Prototype: German Railroad (DB AG) type Ks 446 two-axle stake car with rotating stakes, loaded with two type Y25 trucks. Reddish brown basic paint scheme. The cars look as they did starting in 2003.
