Marklin 46491 - Tank Car Set with Three Containers

Model: The set includes three tank cars with two wheel sets and three containers each, featuring detailed construction and different car numbers. Two cars have a hand brake and a brakeman’s platform without a brakeman’s cab, and one car has a hand brake and a brakeman’s platform with a brakeman’s cab. The car has a detailed, open frame. The handbrake cranks, brake rigging, and emptying pipes are modeled in detail and separately applied. The work platform and ladder are separately applied. The cars have separately applied brakeman’s platforms with and without a separately attached brakeman’s cab. The cars have close couplers with a guide mechanism. Prototype: Three tank cars with two wheel sets and three containers each, painted and lettered for Benzin- und Petroleumgesellschaft GmbH, Hamburg, registered with the German Federal Railroad (DB). The cars look as they did at the end of the 1950s.
