Marklin 74492 - Electric Turnout Mechanism for 72752
This is a kit for converting C Track turnouts and controlling them remotely with a 72752 control box.
Charlie's Tip: If you use any other contol box (like 72710) or a decoder (like the 74461 or 74462), use the Marklin 74491 turnout motor.
This 74492 differs from the 74491. It has a different (more child friendly) wire harness, with a special -kid friendly- plug, that only connects to the 72752.
It has a double solenoid mechanism with end shut-off contacts. It can be operated from a 72752 turnout control box with a feedback function or from a turnout installation Decoder.
This electric mechanism can be installed and connected on turnouts very easily without special tools. The mechanism sits hidden in the roadbed; below-baseboard mounting is not required. It is encapsulated against dirt and is protected against overloads with the end shut-off contacts. The mechanism can be controlled from the 72752 turnout control box. The hand lever can be left on the turnout for manual control.
