Marklin 8568 - Left curved remote turnout
Left curved remote turnout complete with plugs.
- Radius 195 mm / 7-11/16.
- 30 degrees (same as 8521.)
- Main track length 25 mm / 1 inch.
The 8568 left and the 8569 right curved turnouts as well as the 8560 double slip switch have double solenoid mechanisms and manual hand levers. They can be activated with the 7272/72720 control box or with circuit tracks.
Charlie's Tips:
The 8568 left and the 8569 right curved turnouts as well as the 8560 double slip switch have double solenoid mechanisms and manual hand levers.
They can be activated electrically with the old Marklin 7272 or new Marklin 72720 control box or with circuit tracks, and also by hand.
There are two ways to connect a radius 2 circle (8520/8521) to a radius 3 circle (8530/8531), as depicted on the diagram: Either direct with turnout facing turnout, or indirect with an additional 8521 piece between the two turnouts.
In the direct turnout to turnout scenario, the outer (quarter) circle starts with 8531, but ends with 8521.
In the indirect scenario, the outer (quarter) circle has no 8531's, but two 8521's and an 8504 piece at the end.
Marklin Z Track Curved Turnouts 8568 and 8569
With the Märklin Z 8568 or 8569 curved turnouts you can set up a crossover on a curve between Circles 3 and 4 (r = 195 mm /7 -11/16" and r = 220 mm / 8-11/16') This allows the station/yard tracks to be longer. The 8521 track (NOT the 8531) is joined to the trailing end of the turnout on the outer circle.
You can also build the opposite configuration, note how the position of the 8521 and 8531 tracks on the outer (larger) circle switch as well. The 8521 always goes on the single track end of the turnout, the 8531 always goes on the branch side.
