Marklin 88412 - Electric Locomotive E 10.3
On the German Federal Railroad, the "Bügelfalten" or "Pants Crease" class 110 electric locomotives embodied the dawn of a modern streamlined era. Their streamlined body suggested modern locomotives pulling modern express trains. Starting in 1963, all 221 express train units of the class E 10.3 were equipped with these streamlined bodies with the characteristic Bügelfalte or Pants Crease on the ends.
The initial Steel Blue long distance train paint scheme gave way to a new paint scheme in Cobalt Blue on part of the locomotives after major servicing and repairs. This did not detract from their extremely elegant appearance.
