New Piko item for 2024: The BR 193 "Vectron" in the design "Lago di Lugano" of the SBB in Era VI. With the Vectron, PIKO delivers a high-precision model that has numerous extras based on a solid zinc die-cast frame and equipped with proven PIKO standards. The proven PIKO engine ensures excellent running characteristics with two large swing masses. The tensile force of the locomotive driven over all four axles is reinforced by two traction tires, which sit diagonally to each other on the internal axles of both bogies. The lighting of the forehead or Final lamps are made by LEDs, whose red or White changes with the direction of travel. The externally elegant appearance of this model includes a precisely simulated technical "roof landscape" and carefully detailed bogies with model-oriented wheel disc profiles. To control the digital and sound functions, the model has a PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible speaker from the factory.

In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital centers, a new quality mark "fits mfx®" was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders who have passed a special mfx® test and have fully passed.
These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed carry the "fits mfx®" quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
