New in 2025: Variant of the BR 193 Vectron in the design of the Federal Palace in Bern by SBB CINT in Era VI. The tried and tested PIKO motor with two large flywheels ensures excellent running characteristics. The traction of the locomotive, which is driven on all four axles, is increased by two traction tires that are arranged diagonally to one another on the inner axles of both bogies. The headlights and tail lamps are illuminated by LEDs, the red and white of which change with the direction of travel. The elegant external appearance of this model includes an exactly reproduced technical "roof landscape" and carefully detailed bogies with prototypical wheel disk profiles. The model comes with a PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker ex works. The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centers, a new "fits mfx®" quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx® test and have fully passed it. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the "fits mfx®" quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
