Novelty 2024: The model of the BR 93 takes into account all the specific special features of the model machine of the DR in Epoch IV. The PIKO steam locomotive convinces with successful mold design, sharp engravings and numerous, separately attached parts as well as excellent driving characteristics. For the uncomplicated retrofitting of a digital or sound decoder, the model has a modern Next18 interface.
In Prussia, efforts were always made to rationalize, so that in the late 1910s, proven design principles were used for the construction of a new tender locomotive. For example, parts of the drive and drive with some changes were adopted from the proven G8.1. The new locomotives were incorporated as series T14. A total of 457 copies were built for the Prussian State Railways. Subsequently, the Reich railways in Alsace-Lorraine also ordered 40 locomotives of this type. After the Second World War, the genus 93.0–4 was scattered across Europe. Freshly repaired, in addition to the divided Germany, it was also used again in Poland, Belgium and Austria. The DB used its machines until 1960, with the Bw Limburg and the routes between Lahn, Dill and Sieg being their last refuge. At the DR, the operation lasted until 1971, here the locomotives got going, especially in and around Berlin, especially in front of freight trains. The model has TT short couplings!
