New in 2025: With the T 9.3 in the BR 91.3 version, an all-rounder from the great days of the railway is rolling onto the H0 tracks. Successfully used in the prototype both in front of freight and passenger trains and in shunting service, the PIKO model also inspires in universal use on the system. In terms of construction, the Expert steam locomotive leaves little to be desired and takes into account all the structural and optical features of the original machine. The roof of the driver's cab is rounded and the detailed interior can be seen through the windows below. Numerous free-standing components, such as a whistle on the roof, the bell on the boiler and true-to-original lamps and cables are evidence of model construction at the highest level. The same applies to the chassis area with fine die-cast zinc wheels and the filigree brake linkage. By retrofitting a PIKO digital decoder, the lighting in the driver's cab and chassis area can be switched. In addition, a flickering LED in the area of the firebox, also digitally switched, simulates the red glowing coals. All lighting, including the light change that changes in the direction of travel, is implemented using modern, maintenance-free LED technology. The PIKO model is also prepared for equipment with a vehicle sound.
