New Piko item for 2023: With the complete new construction of the elegant ÖBB class 1018, the wish of many model railway enthusiasts for a contemporary model of this cult locomotive has come true. The PIKO model perfectly reproduces the characteristic curves of the prototype and impresses with a variety of details on the body and in the undercarriage area. Particularly noteworthy are the fine wheel sets, the exact reproduction of the roof lines and the consideration of various locomotive-historical features in the construction. The model with zinc die-cast frame convinces on the layout with excellent driving characteristics and high tractive forces. In addition to the low-maintenance LED headlights, the locomotive also has engine room lighting and driver"s cab lights. The analogue version can be easily retrofitted with a decoder using the PluX22 interface.
