Sound electric locomotive BR 117 DB IV AC version, including PIKO sound decoder
New in 2025: Print version of the BR 117 in the DB version in the early Epoch IV. The PIKO model impresses with true-to-the-original details, such as the filigree handrails and roof cables as well as the free-standing sandboxes and springs. The characteristic front view with the three-part window is perfectly based on the original. The model has lighting that changes in the direction of travel using the latest LED technology. The locomotive is factory-equipped with a PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker. The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centers, a new "fits mfx®" quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
