New Piko item for 2024: Variant of the BR S499 as S489.0 "Laminátka" of the ČSD Cargo in Era III. The grace of the shapely machines of the type Škoda 47E "Laminátka" was excellently transferred to the scale of 1:87 and an absolutely coherent overall picture was created. The many attractive details, such as the skylights in the engine room, were elegantly implemented and the strongly discivising lines of the locomotive box were visualized by sharp engravings. Precisely reproduced technical elements, such as the bogie, which complete the successful design of the model. The colorful livree of the model, including dynamic-looking decorative elements, is also excellent in 1:87 thanks to elaborate painting and printing. The locomotive is driven by a five-pole engine, whose uniform running is perfected by two swing masses. A lighting in red and white that changes with the direction of travel is of course available and executed in modern LED technology. For easy retrofitting of a digital decoder, the locomotive has a PluX22 interface. Thanks to a generously dimensioned loudspeaker recording, a speaker can also be easily installed.
