New Piko item for 2023: Form follows function - designers and engineers had internalised this principle when the V 100 was created in the late 1950s, but a model realisation makes this premise all the more demanding. The PIKO designers took this hurdle with flying colours and created a fascinating model. A special eye-catcher is the locomotive"s cooling system with finely etched grilles and the fan wheel visible underneath. The vivid engravings on the front parts and the driver"s cab further structure the functional vehicle body. The overall impression is rounded off by the filigree bogies with numerous attached parts. The digital versions have switchable lighting of the driver"s cab and the instrument panel ex works. Thanks to the PluX22 interface, these functions can also be easily retrofitted to analogue models.
