Piko 52586 - V200 Diesel Locomotive Leipzig Fair DR III Sound
Diesel locomotive V200 1001 DR III, Leipzig Trade Fair AC version, incl. PIKO sound decoder
New for 2026: The first special-design locomotive, the V 180 059, was introduced in 1965 with a new design concept featuring a roof and front wall made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester and a glare-free windscreen thanks to steeply angled front windows. Besides serving as a long-term test of the suitability of plastics, the project also aimed for a more attractive appearance. Two further locomotives with fiberglass-reinforced polyester cabs followed in 1966. This model represents the DR's V200 1001 in Era III as the Leipzig trade fair locomotive. The locomotive comes equipped with a modern PSD XP decoder with sound and a wide range of functions.
