With the redesign of the V 75, the wish of many model railroaders for a contemporary model of the shunting locomotive has been fulfilled. At PIKO, the striking role model has become an excellent model that is visually and technically convincing. The excellently reproduced overall appearance is underlined by the precise and very three-dimensional engravings on the front end of the locomotive. Excellently painted and printed, PIKO's V 75 also flatters the critical eye of model railroaders. The locomotive from the Expert series is also technically state-of-the-art. Of course, the vehicle has red and white LED lighting that changes with the direction of travel. A five-pole motor serves as the drive, the smooth running of which is additionally refined by two balanced flywheel masses.

The twenty copies of the BR 107 that DR procured from Czechoslovakia were used mainly in Leipzig as switch engines. The last place of employment for these distinctive diesel locomotives was at Eilenburg in 1984. Two former DR engines were used by the Karsdorf cement works where they were later augmented by more BR 107s from the Czech Republic.
