2nd class express train coach "Halberstädter", type BDmse, of the Deutsche Reichsbahn with 11 compartments.
■ Type GP-200 bogies ■ Free-standing grab rails ■ Buffer beam can be retrofitted ■ Authentic interior design and luggage compartment The name of the wagons originates from their production site, the Halberstadt repair works (Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk - Raw). In the 1980s, production began on a side-aisle compartment express train coach that was not equipped with air conditioning and was based on UIC-Z specifications. These new coaches were painted in the green and beige livery of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR), which became mandatory for all express train coaches from the mid-1980s onward. In addition to their use in express train services within the German Democratic Republic, these coaches were frequently found on transit and international trains.
