Steam locomotive 302.608 of the Hungarian State Railways.
■ Free-standing cables and many separately attached plug-in parts ■ Ideal for use in front of express and passenger trains ■ Solid metal wheels with low flanges ■ Z21 driver's cab available The class 109 locomotives represented the end and high point of the 2C machines in Austria. They made it possible to shorten the travel time between Vienna and Trieste from 13.5 to 10.5 hours. In 1913, the Budapest machine factory built eleven locomotives for use on routes in the Hungarian half of the empire. The locomotive , later known in Hungary as class 302, differs from the original class 109 , primarily in the square cladding of the inlet pipes and the typical Hungarian lamps. The air pump is also located elsewhere; namely at the rear left of the boiler. The steam locomotive with the number 109.107 was built in Budapest in 1915 based on Austrian plans. In 1932, the Danube-Sava-Adriatic Railway Company (formerly the Southern Railway Company) was nationalized. Its vehicles were transferred to the MÁV. From 1932, this locomotive was in service as MÁV 302.608. The model shows the appearance of the locomotive in its final years.
