The 1,000 hp locomotives were designed for a speed of 70-80 km/h, which meant that they could be used on main and feeder lines in addition to their main area of use on the "branch line". In 1970, 162 machines were given a computer-compatible operating number, and they were decommissioned from 1973 onwards.
