Diesel locomotive 335 230 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.
■ With digital shunting coupling for more fun ■ Motor front and gear block made of die-cast zinc, therefore more dead weight and high tractive power ■ Finely detailed design with many plug-in parts and free-standing handlebars ■ Prototypical light and sound functions can be switched using an on-board decoder ■ Clear view through the replica driver's cab ■ With buffer capacitor for uninterrupted power supply The German Federal Railway was an early adopter of smaller shunting locomotives for shunting passenger and freight cars in stations. A further development of the Köf 11, with power transmission via cardan shafts and additional axle gears, was presented by Gmeinder in 1965. 251 shunting locomotives of this version, initially known as the Köf 12, were delivered to the German Federal Railway as the 333 series. In order to make personnel savings possible, a large proportion of the locomotives were equipped with radio remote control from the end of the 1980s. These locomotives were designated as class 335. The locomotives have gone through several color variations over time, and from 1986 onwards oriental red became the standard color.
