Schuco 450031200 - Porsche 356 A, blue-metallic 1:18
To mark "70 Years of Porsche Sports Cars", Schuco presents an Edition 1:18 version of the Porsche 356 A Carrera Coupé, limited to just 777 copies worldwide. More than 76,000 examples of the classic Porsche 356 sports car were produced between 1948 and 1965. The Porsche 356 was offered to its enthusiastic customers as a Coupé, cabriolet and hardtop coupé as well as a more nimble and lighter Speedster version.
The top model of the Porsche 356 A series was without doubt the Carrera. Powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the Carrera produced 100bhp, allowing the lightweight 2+2-seater to reach a fantastic top speed of over 125 mph, which was quite a remarkable feat at that time. Under the motto "win on Sunday - sell on Monday", the 356 Carrera won numerous races, including best in class titles at the 1000km of Nürburgring or the legendary Mille Miglia in Italy.
Schuco is going to produce in a limited edition of 777 pieces a miniature model of this Porsche 356 A Carrera Coupé to a scale of 1:18. Just like the other models of the Schuco Edition 1:18, the Porsche 356 A Carrera comes with many lovingly crafted details, such as opening and closing doors, a front opening hood and the opening bonnet under which the highly detailed replica of the "Fuhrmann engine" is accommodated.
